Review: Well worth the money for outgoing calls, but needs some
improvement for incoming calls and other services. I use mine solely
for outgoing, "free" local and long-distance calls, and only give out
my cell phone number for incoming calls. It allows me to reduce cell
phone minutes, plus eliminate my land-based line.
"Skype" is another phone service that I've heard from friends about
that also works well. You pay about $2.95 per month to be able to
make unlimited "outgoing" calls. For "incoming" calls, you can buy
a phone number for approximately $30 per year. Just like MJ, your
computer must be on and you can use a cordless USB phone.
They also have phones that you can purchase enabling you to be almost
anywhere, not dependent on your computer.

Many years ago, I signed up with a service that would allow me
to send and receive faxes via my email. Being that I had a small
business, it eliminated my need for a fax machine, reduced paper
and eliminated the necessity for a dedicated line. This service
provided a phone number and allowed me the ability to receive
incoming faxes in my email inbox. I could review, read, keep,
or delete them, only printing what I needed to.
All I needed was my email and a scanner, which is in my copier.
